Content Management
Create and manage banners, announcements, and promotional content across the marketplace storefront.
Content Management
The Content module allows admins to control the visual and informational content displayed across the XiriGo marketplace storefront. This includes promotional banners, platform announcements, and content scheduling.
Banners
Banners are visual promotional units displayed in designated positions across the storefront. They drive traffic to specific products, categories, campaigns, or external pages.
Banner List
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Banner display title |
| Position | Placement on the storefront |
| Status | Active, scheduled, expired, draft |
| Start Date | When the banner becomes visible |
| End Date | When the banner is automatically hidden |
| Impressions | Number of times the banner has been displayed |
| Clicks | Number of times the banner has been clicked |
| CTR | Click-through rate (clicks / impressions) |
Banner Positions
Banners can be placed in four predefined positions on the storefront:
| Position | Location | Recommended Size |
|---|---|---|
homepage_hero | Full-width hero section at the top of the homepage | 1920 x 600 px |
category_top | Top of category listing pages | 1200 x 300 px |
product_sidebar | Sidebar on product detail pages | 300 x 600 px |
checkout_banner | Banner displayed during the checkout flow | 800 x 200 px |
Creating a Banner
Navigate to Content > Banners and click Create Banner.
Provide:
- Title — Internal name for the banner (not displayed to customers)
- Position — Select the storefront placement
- Link URL — Where the banner links to when clicked (product, category, campaign, or external URL)
- Alt Text — Accessibility description of the banner image
Upload the banner image. The system validates dimensions against the recommended size for the selected position and displays a preview.
Choose when the banner should be displayed:
- Immediately — Goes live as soon as you save
- Scheduled — Set a start date and time. Optionally set an end date for automatic expiration.
Click Save. The banner is either published immediately or queued for the scheduled date.
Banner Management

Update the banner image, link, position, or schedule at any time. Changes take effect immediately for active banners.
Duplicate
Clone an existing banner to create a variant with different images or links. Useful for A/B testing.
Pause / Resume
Temporarily pause an active banner without deleting it. Resume to make it visible again.
Delete
Permanently remove a banner. Historical analytics data is preserved.
Announcements
Announcements are text-based notifications displayed to customers across the storefront. They appear as a bar at the top of the page or as a dismissible notification.
Announcement Types
| Type | Appearance | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
info | Blue bar | General information (new features, shipping updates) |
warning | Yellow bar | Important notices (weather delays, policy changes) |
promotion | Green bar with accent | Active promotions and sales events |
maintenance | Red bar | Scheduled maintenance or service disruptions |
Creating an Announcement
Navigate to Content > Announcements and click Create Announcement.
Provide:
- Title — The text displayed to customers (keep it concise, under 100 characters)
- Type — Select the announcement type (info, warning, promotion, maintenance)
- Link — Optional link for customers to learn more
- Dismissible — Whether customers can close the announcement
- Start date — When the announcement appears
- End date — When it automatically expires (optional)
The announcement is published or scheduled based on your configuration.
Only one announcement of each type can be active at a time. Creating a new announcement of the same type will replace the existing one.
Announcement Scheduling
Both banners and announcements support full scheduling capabilities:
- Future scheduling — Set a start date in the future for automatic activation
- Expiration — Set an end date for automatic deactivation
- Recurring — Not currently supported; create separate entries for recurring content
- Timezone — All schedules use the Malta timezone (CET/CEST) by default
Content Analytics
Track the performance of your content to optimize engagement:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Impressions | Number of times the content was displayed to users |
| Clicks | Number of times users clicked on the content |
| CTR (Click-Through Rate) | Percentage of impressions that resulted in a click |
| Dismissal rate | For announcements: percentage of users who dismissed it |
| Conversion rate | For banners: percentage of clicks that led to a purchase |
Use the analytics data to identify which banner positions and announcement types generate the most engagement. Rotate content regularly to maintain customer interest.
Analytics data is available per-item and as aggregated reports over configurable time ranges.
